Since starting Pegasus Bay Electrical Ltd Stew has applied his high standards to customer service and satisfaction, bringing strong values and workmanship to the electrical industry. Stew De Joux, the owner and founder of Pegasus Bay Electrical Ltd started the business in 2005 after working in multiple areas of the industry; commercial to residential, resort maintenance, workshop wiring, warehouse installations and government housing projects. Over the last 20 years he has travelled the world working in USA, England and Denmark (where he met his wife to be), and held a variety of positions developing a friendly, reliable, punctual work ethic. Stew continually raises the bar to reach the highest standards of operation.
Stew and the skilled team at Pegasus Bay Electrical have a massive range of experience including property maintenance, new build fit outs, renovation work, commercial fit outs, office data and power, large-scale commercial projects, switchboard work, home theatre installation, security, automation, industrial repair work and farm maintenance. Stew De Joux
Owner/Registered Electrician
Stew De Joux, the owner and founder of Pegasus Bay Electrical Ltd started the business in 2005 after working in multiple areas of the industry; commercial to residential, resort maintenance, workshop wiring, warehouse installations and government housing projects.
Stew had a typical Kiwi upbringing in Woodend spending time on the beach and local rivers. He attended Rangiora High School where he met friends for life and from there moved into Christchurch where he served his apprenticeship with Switched On Electrical doing residential wiring. His early tradesman years were spent with Arnold Jenson Electrical, where he gained a vast amount of experience in the commercial and residential sectors.
In 1997, he packed his bags and headed overseas to experience the world. First stop was in a Washington State Ski Field in USA, working as an electrician helping maintain the resort. From there he had a small stint in Los Angeles wiring autoshops. After being in the US for a while he then moved to the UK and worked in London heading a variety of projects including large warehouse electrical installations and Government housing projects.
Although Stew enjoyed the Electrical Industry he decided to take a break from London and worked in the Forestry Industry in Denmark, which is where he met his lovely wife to be. After spending a few years in Denmark they both headed to New Zealand and Stew picked up the tools again for a year before deciding to out on his own and so in 2005 Pegasus Bay Electrical was born.
Stew has a passion for sport, he grew up playing rugby, cricket and everything in between. These days his passion is spending time with his family with some hunting and fishing, or an occasional day hitting the slopes on his snowboard! Community is important to Stew and he applies this through the coaching of his youngest son’s rugby team and assisting with coaching his eldest sons cricket team.

Angela Harris
Office Manager
Ang is the oil that keeps the Pegasus Bay Electrical machine running. In her role she is responsible for the Admin side of the business including wages, quotations, applications and the dreaded SSSP’s. Ang is the person who ensures the smooth operation of Pegasus Bay Electrical keeping everything moving efficiently and on time, so your Electrical Project is in good hands.
Ang fills her spare time up with running and cycling and you will quite often find her doing some extreme 3 day mountain event!
Roland Ipenberg
Registered Electrician
Roland is often referred to as ‘Mr Fix It’ because if he can’t fix it, no one can. Roland will be either found leading jobs or out and about doing residential and commercial maintenance. He is also our Security Specialist and has spent many years in the security industry. When he is not working he’ll quite often be fishing and hunting from his Bach in Picton.
Shane Eyles
Tradesman
Shane is always striving for perfection and is one the best residential electricians around. He is clean, efficient, knowledgeable and clients love working with him. He is a keen sportsman so spends a lot of time on a sports field or court somewhere and loves a good game of golf – Ambrose of course!
Matt Lewis
Registered Electrician
Matt hails from the South, a true Dunedin boy, but we don’t hold that against him – much! Matts another success story as he has been with Pegasus Bay Electrical from new apprentice to registered tradesman. In his spare time, he’ll be riding or working on his motocross bike or browsing tinder!
Anitesh Sharma
Tradesman
Anitesh came to us last year (2016) from Fiji where he is a registered electrician, leading many domestic and commercial contracts. He has proven to be an excellent friendly electrician and adheres to Pegasus Bay Electricals high standards. Anitesh hopes to gain NZ registration by November 2017.
Isaac Preece
Apprentice Electrician
Isaac has been with Pegasus Bay Electrical since early 2016 and is a sponge when it comes to anything relating to the electrical industry. He excels in his exams and is often quoting electrical theory. As a result, he will often be under a floor or in a roof space!
